Reinvigorating culinary traditions with business innovations, our experienced team offer the opportunity to turn choice ingredients into delectable dishes of consistent quality and build a community of entrepreneurs, food service professionals, and food lovers.


As our flagship restaurant, Hopers’ Base Restaurant (formerly known as Renren Heping Restaurant) is a full-service Cantonese restaurant in Hong Kong. Its award-winning Cantonese barbecue dishes and old-school comfort food recipes have not only won over the food lovers, but a loyal online following has also steadily grown.
Char Siu
Our Char Siu is a Cantonese classic. Beautifully marbled Canadian collar or Polish pork belly is tenderised and marinated with multifloral honey, pineapple, papaya, maltose and premium soy sauce. It is then roasted over slow-burning flames to achieve the juiciness inside and the crusty, caramelised edges on the outside. Prior to serving, the barbecue meat is dressed with a savoury jus enhanced with Chinese spices. 
Roast Goose
Our select roast goose acquires its golden brown colour in a wood-burning oven. In the process, the skin’s moisture is completely evaporated to form a crispy texture, as the fat underneath melts only to drip all over the aromatic and succulent goose meat. Hopers’ Base’s roast goose dish was honoured at culinary competitions in Hong Kong. 
Pineapple Sweet and Sour Pork
Pineapple sweet and sour pork is a mouthwatering melange of generous cuts of deep-fried and breaded pork shoulder, fresh pineapple, onion, and bell pepper, which are enveloped in an addictive sweet and tangy sauce. Attractively presented on a boat-shaped bowl made of a cut pineapple fruit, this storied Cantonese dish with a modern twist is a crowd pleaser.
Roast Goose Fried Rice au jus in a Clay Pot
Fragrant jasmine rice, together with bite-sized goose meat, is pan fried in a clay pot, so each grain of rice can be cooked evenly and soak up the savoury goodness of roast goose meat juice and goose fat. It’s a simple homemade comfort food perfected by our chefs.



Gotthard Base Restaurant is a full-service restaurant specialising in continental European cuisine. Featuring crowd-pleasing dinner favourites such as Beef Wellington and seafood stew, Gotthard Base’s menu is crafted to reflect the finest combination of our executive chef’s passion for good food and what the season has to offer. 
Beef Wellington
Available only to select customers who were ‘in the know’, Gotthard Base’s beef Wellington became a regular menu item once its reputation has travelled far and wide. A filet mignon is wrapped in layers of mushroom duxelles, dry-cured ham, and puff pastry, as each bite is blessed with a delectable symphony of flavours and aromas.
Seafood Stew
Our chef at Gotthard Base specialises in transforming various ingredients into different dishes, utilising seasonal seafood to create rich stews. Tiger prawns, mussels, scallops, and wild deep-sea fish are simmered in a white wine cream sauce with various ingredients added to bring out the freshest seafood flavors. This dish, which satisfies your taste buds, has become a classic at our Gotthard Base restaurant.
Churros + Tiramisu
Gotthard Base prides itself on its small but excellent selection of menu items, including its sweet course. Churros and tiramisu are two equally satisfying desserts to conclude a meal. Warm churros are coated in sugar and cinnamon, and bring back memories of street fairs. Tiramisu’s decadent layers of mascarpone cheese and coffee-flavoured sponge cake make anyone forget all worries.   


HONGrill is a quick-service concept that aims to bring the taste of Hong Kong to the United Kingdom. Leveraging the experience and acumen of Hopers’ Base Restaurant, the transnational team builds the food preparation and business infrastructure for aspiring franchise owners to deliver delicious, affordable, and satisfying Cantonese barbecue food to communities across Great Britain.
HONGrill Bao
Bao Bun, a popular Taiwanese street food, is paired with the star of Cantonese barbecue. Stuffed with slices of saucy roast chicken, the steamed flatbread is garnished with fresh coriander and ground peanuts to make a wholesome and tasty snack.
Honey Roasted Char Siu Rice
HONGrill’s Char Siu is tenderised and marinated with multifloral honey, pineapple, papaya, and premium soy sauce. Featuring a caramelised crust and unmistakable sweet flavour, juicy cuts of barbecue pork are served on a bed of fragrant jasmine rice.

Abalone Poon Choi Feast
Poon choi is a traditional festive dish consisting of delicacies, poultry, seafood, and pork that is served in a large bowl to be enjoyed by family and friends together. Ours sits among the most luxurious Poon Choi in Hong Kong showcasing choicest ingredients such as braised abalone, award-winning roast goose, scallops, king prawns, and Char Siu, which will bring joy and excitement to your dinner table.
Meat Dumplings and Potstickers
As a frozen staple in every home, our meat dumplings and potstickers are made from quality ingredients. These delicious treats are great for everyday occasions, such as appetisers for dinners, hors d’oeuvre for cocktail parties, finger food for work or holiday gatherings, or a quick and easy fix to your midnight cravings.
Chenpi-infused Products
Chenpi is sun-dried and aged mandarin orange peel. It is a popular aromatic used in Cantonese cuisine thanks to its medicinal properties and subtle fragrance. Our Chenpi-infused tea and peanuts are great for every occasion and are also unique, thoughtful gift ideas.

To this end, Hopers’ Base has made significant investments to build HONGrill, a franchise system in the United Kingdom. From handling food preparation to providing entrepreneurship support, we help our partners succeed and contribute to their communities.

In Hong Kong, we will expand Hopers’ Base Restaurant either at our home in North Point or by securing new premises in another neighbourhood on Hong Kong island.

Everybody deserves good and wholesome food. Hopers’ Base is proud to promote food equity by making in-kind and cash donations throughout the years. Since our founding as Renren Heping Restaurant, we have given to the elderly, community welfare organisations, disaster victims, and other community members in need. As the pandemic had upended everyone’s life, Hopers’ Base gifted public health supplies, such as test kits, masks, and sanitiser to the most vulnerable and underprivileged members of our community, in addition to our regular food, cash, or cash equivalent donations. Hopers’ Base is proud to have donated regularly since 2019, benefitting different community welfare organisations and their service recipients.
As Hopers’ Base expands to the United Kingdom, we will continue this tradition of giving in our new home. As we bring good food to the United Kingdom, we are committed to  corporate social responsibility and the spirit of sharing wherever we do business.
